Yesterday many celebrated Independence Day in a country where many are still oppressed & discriminated against. Yet we still have sitings of nooses and racism. Yes, I threw a few things on the grill but not to celebrate the Red, White & Blue. Instead, I remembered and celebrated #RedBlackHue that's what this day means to me. We tend to forget and set aside the racial profiling, crime, and discrimination against Black and Indigenous people. A hash tag only lasts for a week then we're on to the next trend. Be you, not them. Take everything on social media with a grain of salt. Don't be so fascinated or compare your journey with what others are doing or saying. One thing for sure, just because someone has a business doesn't mean they know how to conduct business. Everything in life is trial and error. You learn from trying it for yourself. One tip I can give is not to take every advice about business or life. It may seem as though most people on social media know what they're doing or talking about, but be cautious. With struggle, comes great success. I recently graduated from college with my Bachelors Degree. Yass a Bihh did it! It was definitely a journey. From changing my major three times and daily life struggles. These were all circumstances I kept away from social media but shared with some.
