Breathe Of Fresh Thoughts

An impromptu beach getaway was in the works early Saturday morning. I needed a change of scenery for a little bit. Even if it was just a quick one hour trip somewhere else. In Delaware, there are very limited places you can escape. The Riverfront is pretty relaxing and even a few parks and site seeing scene. But, theres nothing more refreshing than stepping outside your daily norm. I've lived in exciting cities and still felt the urge to escape and catch a breathe here and there.
Thoughts Necessary for the Soul

SoI made quick last minute plans and prepared for my small but mighty escape. I checked the weather a few times just to make sure it was pleasant enough. Turns out, it was GREAT! The breeze was wonderful and the heat was just right! There was a huge crowd and come to find out, there was soccer match happening. All different age groups up to adults. It was fun to watch and a moment to reflect on when I myself played soccer as a child. Good times. With a cooler filled with pasta salad (homemade by moi), sliced fresh fruit (peaches and mangoes), wine & lastly, water. I knew I would buy some boardwalk fries towards the end of the getaway. (Sort of a tradition we carry each beach trip). So I packed a light meal for two. This also turns off all the temptation of the beach food extravaganza! It saves you a pretty coin.
My phone was dying a tad bit but, it wasn't a bother. I took it as a message telling me to focus on the purpose of the getaway. To be one with my thoughts and just relax. I was oh so busy painting, cleaning up, researching, baking and a lot more the day before. I needed this and it was time to take all my energy and take care of me. This also jump starts my week!
