In 2018 (even the previous years), we all have access to the blueprint of many strangers walk of life on social media. It's easier to blend in rather than staying authentic. In business and in life. Many are mistaken by seeing or liking what other people post and mimic style, thoughts, even mind-sets. Remaining true while re-inventing yourself is important in order to create longevity. To be honest I NEVER check the Instagram feed of what the people I follow “like.” This is no exaggeration. Again this is my choice because quite frankly I don’t want to be driven to "like" what I see other people liking. I stay in my lane & decide what I choose to see or not. I really don’t care to see what other people are liking on amongst their Instagram feed. If it’s funny send me a link through text or DM. Really if I really like something I might comment or not like it at all because of the un-authentic bang wagon that follows.
Genuine shit is really becoming rare. Maybe just on social media. Viewing such moments should be private. Being authentic seems like a thing of the past to some. You may feel as though everyone else is doing it too, but really that’s not even a big deal. They might do it too, but are you staying in yo' lane & providing your authentic self in each detail? Think about it twice and keep trying. If you go the easy route it won't last. Yes it’s poppin’ now, but longevity is where it's at.
